Family Engagement and Coaching

Case Study 1: Scaling Family Engagement Across 40+ Households

Focus: Family coaching, systems, adult learning
Role: Family Educator & Program Lead

The Challenge

Families needed consistent, actionable guidance to support children’s learning at home—but varied schedules, confidence levels, and follow-through made consistency difficult. Traditional “tips” weren’t enough.

The Approach

I designed a family engagement system that prioritized:

  • Short, modeled videos instead of long instructions

  • Clear expectations with built-in flexibility

  • Coaching adults, not correcting children

I supported over 40 families simultaneously, providing structured feedback, progress checkpoints, and clarity around implementation—not just encouragement.

The Impact

  • Increased family follow-through and confidence

  • Reduced confusion around expectations and routines

  • Stronger alignment between home and learning environments

Why it matters: This work demonstrates my ability to design and manage human-centered systems that work at scale, especially when adults—not children—are the primary learners.

Shaping Community

Case Study 2: Quality Assurance & Workflow Design for 800+ Educational Videos

Focus: Operations, QA, consistency at scale
Role: Program Evaluator & Systems Builder

The Challenge

An educational platform required over 800 videos to be reviewed for script fidelity, clarity, and instructional accuracy—without slowing production or sacrificing quality.

The Approach

I built a repeatable review workflow that included:

  • Clear evaluation criteria aligned to instructional goals

  • Time-based efficiency calculations to forecast workload

  • Consistent feedback loops to reduce repeat errors

Rather than watching passively, I evaluated each video through a quality and usability lens, ensuring alignment with both educators and families.

The Impact

  • Reliable quality across a large content library

  • Faster review cycles with clear benchmarks

  • Reduced revision needs over time due to clearer standards

Why it matters: This project reflects my strength in operational thinking, quality assurance, and translating educational vision into executable systems.

On-Camera Teacher

Case Study 3: Developing High-Engagement Video Curriculum Using Puppets & Scripted Instruction

Focus: Content development, on-camera delivery, curriculum design
Role: Early Literacy Content Developer & On-Camera Educator

The Challenge

An education company needed engaging, developmentally sound video lessons that could support early literacy at scale. The content had to be instructionally accurate, visually engaging, and easy for families and educators to use—while being produced under both studio and at-home recording conditions with remote direction.

The Approach

I served as a core contributor to the early kindergarten curriculum team, writing and delivering scripted lessons that blended instructional rigor with high engagement.

My responsibilities included:

  • Writing highly detailed scripts for puppet-led lessons focused on:

    • Consonant blends (BL, CL, DR, etc.)

    • Inflectional endings (-ING, -ED)

  • Designing phonics games and phonological awareness videos that modeled sound manipulation clearly and consistently

  • Performing on camera with multiple puppets, each with distinct roles and pacing

  • Filming content both in-home and in studio, managing lighting, framing, and audio quality independently when working remotely

  • Taking real-time direction from remote production teams and implementing feedback quickly

  • Saving, organizing, and uploading files accurately and on tight timelines

Scope of Work

  • 44+ videos featuring a puppy character

  • 40+ videos featuring a fox character

  • Multiple series with three-puppet formats for phonological awareness

  • Scripted lessons that became highly sought-after within the curriculum library

The Impact

  • Created consistent, high-quality literacy lessons used repeatedly by families and educators

  • Strengthened early phonics and word-work instruction through clear modeling and pacing

  • Supported the successful rollout of a new kindergarten curriculum

  • Became a trusted on-camera presence, frequently asked to:

    • Lead webinars

    • Model instructional delivery

    • Represent content in a polished, professional way

Why It Matters

This project demonstrates my ability to:

  • Translate literacy standards into engaging digital instruction

  • Perform confidently on camera with a calm, controlled, professional presence

  • Work across content, curriculum, and production teams

  • Deliver high-volume, high-quality content under real production constraints

It reflects a rare blend of instructional expertise, media performance, and operational reliability—critical for modern edtech and digital learning environments.
